Boeing is one of the world's largest aerospace companies, manufacturing commercial airplanes, defense products, and space systems. At this scale, digital infrastructure isn't a convenience — it's operational backbone. The portals and applications that serve Boeing's internal teams, suppliers, and partners have to be reliable, secure, and cost-efficient.
Boeing's commerce and portal infrastructure ran on Oracle ATG (Art Technology Group) — a platform that had become expensive and difficult to maintain:
Boeing needed a partner who could do two things simultaneously: keep current systems healthy and progressing, while architecting and building the next-generation platform — and bring the total cost of ownership down in the process.
Winklix engaged with Boeing on a dual-track modernization program, executing parallel workstreams to sustain live systems while delivering their replacement.
Winklix's engineering team took on continued development and maintenance of Boeing's current application suite — ensuring stability, resolving issues, and shipping enhancements so the business experienced no slowdown during the modernization program.
Winklix designed and built a new portal on Adobe Commerce Cloud, leveraging its cloud-native scalability and modern architecture to deliver a faster, more flexible experience at a materially lower run cost than the legacy stack.
Winklix led the migration off Oracle ATG — mapping existing capabilities, data, and business logic onto Adobe Commerce Cloud with a continuity-first approach that reduced cutover risk and eliminated dependence on costly, specialized legacy ATG resources.
Custom development was delivered in Java, integrating cleanly with Boeing's existing technology ecosystem and building the bespoke functionality the engagement required — ensuring seamless interoperability across Boeing's enterprise stack.

The dual-track modernization program delivered measurable results for Boeing while maintaining uninterrupted operations throughout the transition:
This engagement reflects what sets Winklix apart on enterprise modernization: the ability to sustain business-critical systems and deliver their replacement at the same time — without forcing a tradeoff between the two. For enterprises weighing the cost and risk of a legacy migration, Winklix is a partner equipped to manage both sides of the transition and bring total cost of ownership down.
"Their team has an outstanding team to deliver project. It is really nice working with them. We have already given 5 years contract to the team."
