What Is Killing My iPhone Battery Life ?

After the first 3 month of buying a iPhone , I am bound to buy a mophie . Firstly iPhone speed has impressed me and i downloaded a bunch of new apps , and then i found why my battery life is terrible and i should even not have downloaded the app .

Battery life is number one issue , which forces me every time to buy a new iPhone after every 2 year. According to recent reports , iOS 11 is draining battery even faster in earlier models . Apple is always successful to generate new sales , so it that means the old technology has become obsolete and Apple is forcing you to buy the new one as part of their strategy to increase their sales ?

No it is surely not the case . Go into the setting and you will find the real culprits . You can even get to know which apps are using the most of your battery . Turing down brightness , turning off location , minimising the game play in phone will definitely add on to battery life . But the question arises , why battery life is worse a year in comparison to when i bought the phone ? That is necessarily because of passing of time , everything decreases their value once they are getting old , and that is why depreciation arises . So is the case with battery of the iPhone’s .

MYTH 1 : I MUST WAIT UNTIL MY BATTERY IS AT 0% TO CHARGE

This statement is false , but it is important to know how charge cycles works .
Apple battery drains and be capable of only 70 % backup of what it was giving earlier capable of after 400-500 battery charging cycles . This is the harsh fact , but it is true .It is suggestible to charge 25 % to 50 % at time than to run your phone dead before charging . This may increase number of cycles until charging capacity drops .

MYTH 2 : OVERCHARGING KILLS BATTERY

Smartphones , they are smart enough to get to know when to stop charging . Generally leave a phone even after charging upto 100 % of the battery will be fine , but leaving your phone overnight for charging will obviously not increase your battery life , and can also seriously affect your battery life badly .
At the same time , charging your phone for longer than usual time can increase the temperature of your phone , and a high temperature can quickly deteriorate your lithium ion battery life .Leaving your phone in sun , or a temperature above 95 degree Fahrenheit can permanently damage your battery . iPhone even warns you and stops working , if temperature has risen to what has been prescribed by apple . No No , don’t even try to leave your phone in sun , not even for testing purposes , it can seriously damage your phone battery life .

MYTH 3 : ALWAYS CLOSE YOUR APP

Closing your app does not actually do a lot on your battery life . The app when get closed , will get paused and will not be running in the background , but when you try to open it , you are actually forcing your RAM to recall where it belongs to .
So closing an app will not affect your battery life in long term . But if you are not using your app , it is advisable to close it .

MYTH 4 : SHOULD I RUN MY PHONE ON LOW POWER MODE ?

On and after iOS 10 , low power mode turns off email fetch , hey Siri , background app refresh and limits many other features . Low-Power mode does not affect battery life , but yes it limits battery draining thus you will not charge your battery again and again , thus increasing your battery life cycle .For times ,  you can make your phone last longer by turning a low power mode .
The fact is you can there is lot of other things that can get most out of it , rather than focusing on phones battery life . None of the above hacks is going to works and will prevent battery draining . The only solution is to change your phone every couple of years to get benefitted of new technology and advance battery life , or to switch from Apple to some other phone , and go and buy some flip phone .
